Connecting Nature and CLEVER Cities have joined forces to bring UrbanByNature (UbN), the global programme for urban nature pioneers, to China. After a successful launch event during last year’s ‘4th High-Level International Forum on Sustainable Urban Development’ in Chengdu, UbN will kick-start a six-part webinar series for China on 30 June 2021.

In this inaugural UbN China webinar, participants will be introduced to nature-based solutions (NBS) and to how they are being implemented across cities in Europe. Participants will learn about the potential of NBS to contribute to urban regeneration efforts and climate resilience goals. In addition, good practice examples from Shanghai will showcase the relevance of NBS for cities in China. During the webinar, participants will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and to explore questions with the webinar speakers:

The webinar will be moderated by Merlin Lao, Senior Program Manager at ICLEI East Asia and simultaneous translation (English and Chinese) will be provided.

欧盟地平线2020的两个姐妹项目——“连接自然”和“智在城市”将联合在中国推出“城市与自然共生”系列培训，与中外城市的先锋实践者共话城市自然保护之道。继去年11月在第四届国际高层可持续城市发展论坛期间成功启动后，该系列培训的第一期将于2021年6月30日于线上举行。

第一期培训的主题将围绕什么是基于自然的解决方案（Nature-based Solutions, NbS）展开，分享基于自然的解决方案在欧洲城市的应用实践。从中，与会人员将了解到基于自然的解决方案助力城市实现可持续更新，并协助提升城市气候韧性的潜力。另外，上海长宁也将以当地的生境花园为例，展示如何将基于自然的解决方案应用于中国城市老旧小区的整治过程中。

本系列线上培训将为与会者提供机会，各抒己见，分享经验，并与发言嘉宾对话交流。
